The Talpa Germany GmbH & Co. KG is a German television production company , which operates in the entertainment sector and headquartered in Berlin has. There is also an office in Hamburg and two branch offices in Potsdam and Cologne . Talpa Germany produces events, galas and stands out for large and small TV formats and shows. Since 2017, the company has also repositioned itself in the fictional area with its offshoot Talpa Germany Fiction .
On October 13, 2014 it was announced that Talpa Media would take over 49.9 percent of the shares in Schwartzkopff TV-Productions from Axel Springer AG at the beginning of 2015 . In mid-2015, Talpa Media also took over the remaining 50.1 percent of the shares. In the course of the takeover, Schwartzkopff TV was renamed Talpa Germany . At the beginning of 2017, Talpa Germany Fiction GmbH was also founded , which is now responsible for all fiction formats from Talpa Germany.
Schwartzkopff TV-Productions was a German television production company founded by Peter Schwartzkopff in 1993, which since 2010 had the exclusive rights to co-produce the international Talpa formats for Germany.
