It Takes 2 was a five-part TV show on RTL with vocal performances by celebrities who usually do not appear as singers. It was recorded in November 2016 and televised from January 15, 2017 to February 12, 2017. The program was moderated by Daniel Hartwich and Julia Krüger . Annett Möller emerged as the winner.
Jury and mentors
The jury consisted of Conchita Wurst , Álvaro Soler and Angelo Kelly . In the opening broadcast, they assessed the individual appearances, but did not award any points, as in this broadcast only the nine performers were distributed among the three mentors.
The mentors - Tom Gaebel , Christina Stürmer and Gil Ofarim - could only hear the performances of the performers in the opening broadcast, but not see them, and had to decide after each round with three appearances who would support which interpreter in the subsequent broadcasts.
Kick-off broadcast
There were three rounds in the opening broadcast, each with three performers. After a round was completed, each mentor had to choose one performer for this round, with the primary voting rights changing in each round, so that each mentor received it once. The following titles were presented:
round | Interpreter | Title and original artist | mentor |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Rebecca Siemoneit-Barum | Set Fire to the Rain by Adele | Gil Ofarim |
Dave Davis | In other ways by Andreas Bourani | Christina striker | |

After the first round, one candidate was eliminated and the remaining three sang another title that had already been performed in an earlier program.
