Laith Sascha Al-Deen (born February 20, 1972 in Karlsruhe ) is a German pop singer and music producer .

Life

Al-Deen was born in Karlsruhe in 1972 as the son of an Iraqi and a German . He grew up in the USA and in Mannheim . His debut single Bilder von dir from 2000 was penned by the Offenbach-based production team Schallbau, who published the original English version of Everlasting Pictures with the B-Zet and Darlesia project in 1995. In 2001 he appeared as a support act for a band on the anniversary tour of Pur 20 Jahre and presented his album as part of his program. In 2002 he and his band again had the opportunity to appear as a support act at an additional Pur concert in Leverkusen . The album Für alle , released in early 2004 , reached number one in the German album charts and was Al-Deen's greatest success to date. The first single, Alles an dir , reached number 21 in the German single charts , the highest ranking of a single by Laith Al-Deen to date. With the second single Höher , the man from Mannheim took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 , but could not prevail against Max Mutzke with Can't Wait Until Tonight in the audience .

In autumn 2004 a live album was released, which stayed at the top of the album charts for a few weeks. In September 2005 the album The Question How was released . At the same time, a DualDisc of the album came on the market, on which the entire album was mixed in 5.1 surround sound. In June 2007 the fifth album Die Liebe zum Detail was released and reached number 3; The first single, Keine wie du , was released in May 2007 and climbed to number 16.

Laith Al-Deen has been married since 2007. He reached ninth place for Baden-Württemberg at the 2008 Bundesvision Song Contest with the song Du . In 2007 he sang the song When you dared to duet with Annett Louisan for her CD The optimal life . With the German band Luxuslärm , he recorded a duet entitled Jemand sein , which can be heard on the album So Laut ich kann . In the summer of 2009, Al-Deen's album Session was released , which, apart from his own composition Der Sturm, only contains cover versions . A tour through Germany began the following autumn. In 2015 he was a guest at Gregor Meyle's music program Meylensteine .
