Luxuslärm (alternatively LXSLRM , proper spelling LUXURY NOISE ) was a German pop - band from Iserlohn , which consisted of five members and was founded of 2006. With well over 250,000 albums sold, Luxuslärm was one of the most successful German bands of its decade.

history

As early as 2003, Luxuslärm performed as a cover band under the name Blue Cinnamon at various concerts in North Rhine-Westphalia. At one of these concerts, the band members met the producer Götz von Sydow, who encouraged them to write their own music. At the beginning of 2006 I started working on my own titles written in German.

In January 2007 the band won the NRW-Rock-It-Finale as a luxury noise . A year later, the first album 1000 km bis zum Meer was produced and released, from which the single of the same name was released a month later, only as a download then also as a physical single in limited editions in stores. Götz von Sydow contributed music and text passages to most of the pieces on the album. Luxuslärm was awarded the best rock band in 2008, the best pop band in 2008, the best song in 2008 ( Immortal ), the best German-language CD album and the audience award from the German Rock and Pop Musicians Association. In December 2008 and spring 2009 the band went on tour as opening act with Thomas Godoj . On February 13, 2009, the second single was released, Immortal . The video for the single was shot in November 2008.

On December 3rd, 2009 the band was awarded the 1 Live Krone as the best newcomer band .

The song Immortal is part of the soundtrack of the movie Vorstadtkrokodile 2 . On January 29, 2010 a new album by the band was released and on December 18, 2009 with Sag es wie es ist the first single from it. In April 2010 the band had a guest appearance each in the TV series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten and Unter uns , in August 2010 in the telenovela Anna und die Liebe , and in November 2010 in Alles Waswas .

On May 15, 2011, the band announced on their website that Henrik Oberbossel, Eugen Urlacher and David Rempel would leave for the fall of that year. These later became part of the cover band Das Wunder, founded in 2014 . With the release of the third studio album, the band continued to work with the following new line-up: Christian Besch (keyboards), Freddy Hau (guitar) and David Müller (bass).

In September 2011 Luxuslärm released their third studio album Carousel and went on tour through Germany in 2011/2012. On 28 September 2012, the band appeared for North Rhine-Westphalia in the Federal Vision Song Contest 2012 and reached the title she love you like I do? fourth place.

Götz von Sydow, together with Jan Zimmer and Jana Crämer, formed the management of the band Luxuslärm under the name LuxusPromotion . Together with Janine Meyer, the three formed their own music label Die Opposition , legally known as Von Sydow, Zimmer, Meyer, Crämer GbR . On December 13, 2013, the band announced that they had signed a record deal with the major label Universal Music . Her fourth studio album Alles was du want was also released there in March 2014.

On October 1st, 2014 Luxuslärm had another guest appearance in the RTL soap Unter uns .

On 25 February 2016, the band with the song took as long as love dwells in me at the German national final of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2016 in part. The album was released under the exclusive license of Universal Music / Polydor Germany via the Cologne record label Die Opposition , where singer Janine Meyer was registered as managing director. After just four days, Fallen undfly was able to place itself in seventh place on the official album midweek charts , determined by GfK Entertainment. After a week, the album finally placed ninth in the German album charts .

On August 9, 2016, the band announced their breakup at the end of the year. She played her last concert in front of 950 spectators on December 30, 2016 in the Stadthalle Olpe.
