The second season of the talent show The Voice Senior aired from November 24 to December 15, 2019. Thore Schölermann and Lena Gercke once again moderated and the jury included the duo Alec Völkel and Sascha Vollmer from the band The BossHoss , the singer and actress Yvonne Catterfeld , the singer Sasha and, for the first time, the singer and songwriter Michael Patrick Kelly on.

The winner of the second season was Monika Smets.

First phase: the blind auditions

The participants for the "Blind Auditions" of the first season were selected at the same time during the "Scoutings" of The Voice of Germany / Season 9 , which took place in spring 2019. These auditions were not broadcast on television. The first two episodes of the “Blind Auditions” were recorded on June 20 and 21, 2019 in the Adlershof studio in Berlin and broadcast in two television programs on November 24 and December 1, 2019 on Sat.1 .

The following candidates received all four jury votes: Eva Norel, Dennis LeGree, John Wiseman, Michael Poteat, Agata Mongiovi Bonafe and Klaus Diercks. Of these six, three chose Yvonne, one for Michael Patrick, one for BossHoss and one for Sasha.

Second phase: The Sing Offs

The Sing Offs were recorded on August 16, 2019 in the Berlin Adlershof studio and will be broadcast as the third episode on December 8, 2019.

During this phase, each of the 18 remaining participants performed a song. Lutz Hiller had to retire prematurely for health reasons, but he can participate again in the coming season. Each coach selected two of their team members for the final.

Third phase: the final

The final took place on December 15, 2019 in Berlin. As with The Voice Kids, the stage performances were broadcast with a 45-minute time shift, only after the announcement of the audience voting was broadcast live.

The winner of the second season of The Voice Senior became Monika Smets from Team Sasha .
