Kauerheim is a district of the Middle Franconian municipality of Alfeld in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria .

location

The hamlet is about 1.3 km southeast of the core town of Alfeld and just under a kilometer north of the A 6 motorway ( Nuremberg - Prague ). Southwest on Schwarzenberg is known as a natural monument and Geotop reported karst cave Alfelder wind hole . With a passage length of 2200 meters, it is the second largest cave in the Franconian Alb .
