Keith Brooking Howard (* 30th October 1975 in Senoia , Georgia ) is a former American American football poker players. He played eleven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL) on the position of defensive tackles . He also played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos .
Early years
Brooking went to Sharpsburg , Georgia high school . He later went to the Georgia Institute of Technology , where he played college football at the Atlantic Coast Conference (AAC) for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets .
NFL
Atlanta Falcons
Brooking was selected twelfth in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1998 NFL Draft . In his first year with the Falcons, he moved to Super Bowl XXXIII with them . Here they lost against the Denver Broncos with 34:19. In 2001 he scored two interceptions , two forced fumbles (two recovered), 3.5 sacks and prevented nine passes. For these performances shown, he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time . He was also elected to the Pro Bowl for the next four years. After eleven seasons for the Falcons, he could not agree with them on a new contract and left the franchise .
Dallas Cowboys
On February 28, 2009, he signed a three-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys . For the Cowboys he scored 253 tackles , four sacks and one interception in three years .
Denver Broncos
On August 6, 2012, at the age of 37, he signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos . After the season he ended his professional career.
Personal
In 2003 he founded the Keith Brooking Children's Foundation . Brooking and his wife have four children, two sons and two daughters.
