Kelli Joan Maroney (born December 30, 1965 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is an American actress .

Life

Maroney began her career as a teenager on the soap opera Ryan’s Hope . Between 1979 and 1982 she played Kimberly Harris in 319 episodes of the series. She made her screen debut in 1982 in the comedy I believe ', I stand' in the forest at the side of Sean Penn , Jennifer Jason Leigh and Judge Reinhold . The following year, she starred with Peter Coyote and Mel Smith in a loosely on a Parker -novel by Donald E. Westlake -based thriller . In 1984 she had her first major film role in the B-movie - horror film The Comet as Samantha Belmont on the side of Robert Beltran . By the early 1990s she was then seen in a few other B horror films; she played the female lead in Shopping and The Zero Boys . She starred in supporting roles alongside Traci Lords in The Vampire from Space and alongside Robert Vaughn in Transylvania Twist .

She has also had guest roles in a number of television series such as Murder is Her Hobby , Simon & Simon , Pretender and Chicago Hope .
