The Kellogg Valley is a 1400 m high and largely ice-free valley in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Olympus Range , it lies between Mount Boreas and Mount Aeolus . The valley opens north to the McKelvey Valley, 500 m below .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1997 to the couple Thomas B. Kellogg and Davida E. Kellogg, geologists from the University of Maine , who carried out numerous campaigns between 1976 and 1990 on the glacial history of the region around McMurdo Sound, including the McMurdo Ice Shelf , the Ross Ice Shelf , the Ross Sea and the Antarctic Dry Valleys .
