Miroslaw Kenanow ( Bulgarian Мирослав Кенанов ; English Miroslav Kenanov ; born April 20, 1988 in Samokow ) is a former Bulgarian biathlete .

Miroslaw Kenanow lives in Samokow, trains in Sofia and starts for Rilski sportist . He has been biathlon since 2000 and has been a member of the Bulgarian national team since 2004. In 2005 he took part in the junior European Biathlon Cup for the first time. In 2006 he started in Presque Isle at his first Junior World Championships and was there in five races. In the individual he was 32nd, in the sprint 48th and 49th in the pursuit. With the youth relay he reached seventh place, with the junior relay he was eleventh. In 2007 the Bulgarian reached 53rd place in the sprint, 57th in the pursuit and 59th in the individual in Martell . He was also used at the home European junior championship in Bansko in the singles, in which he came in 41st place. In Otepää , Kenanow took part in the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 and was 24th in the sprint and 22nd in the pursuit in the competitions on roller skis . In 2008 he took part in his last Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding . At the competitions in Germany, the Bulgarian was 55th in the individual, 65th in the sprint and 13th with the Bulgarian relay. The European Junior Championships in Nové Město na Moravě did not bring any noticeably better results with 56th place in the individual, 31st in the sprint and eighth with the relay. Kenanow finished the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne in tenth place in the sprint, 15 in the pursuit and five in the relay. For the first time Kenanow was able to establish himself in the extended world elite of his age group. The Bulgarian played his last season as a junior in 2008/09. The highlight of the winter was the European Championships in Ufa with results 27 in the sprint, 13 in the sprint and pursuit and six with the relay. In the summer he took part again in the junior competitions of the Summer World Championships in Oberhof and was 32nd in the sprint and 29th in the pursuit of rollerskiing. In the Junior European Cup eighth place in a pursuit race in Forni Avoltri was the best result.

Since the 2008/09 season Kenanow takes part in races in the performance area. He contested his first adult races as part of the IBU Cup in Idre , where he was 91st and 69th in two sprint races. In the Bulgarian biathlon center Bansko he was able to achieve his best results in this racing series in 2009 with third place in the sprint and fourth place in the following pursuer. In 2009 Kenanow also made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup . He contested his first race at the start of the season in Östersund , where he was 114th in a sprint. Up to the 2010 Winter Olympics , he kept coming back to work and also took part in the Games in Canada, where he achieved his 82nd place in the sprint, his best World Cup result to date. With Mikhail Kletscherow , Vladimir Iliev and Krassimir Anew he was also 16th in the relay competition and contributed the best shooting performance of all Bulgarians with a single spare. Finally, he took part in the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää, where he finished 54th in the sprint, 23rd in the individual and 10th in the relay. In 2011 in Presque Isle , Kenanow achieved his best World Cup result in a sprint race with 65th place.
