Kenneth Box ( Kenneth James "Ken" Box ; born December 1, 1930 in West Derby , Liverpool ) is a former British sprinter .
In 1954 he started for England at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver . He failed over 100 yards in the run; in the 4-by-110-yard season he came in fourth place with the English team ( Alan Lillington , Brian Shenton and George Ellis ). In the same year he won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in Bern with the British team ( Ken Jones , George Ellis, Box and Brian Shenton) .
In 1956 he started at the Olympic Games in Melbourne . Over 100 m he was eliminated in the quarterfinals; with the British 4 x 100 meter relay (Box, Roy Sandstrom , David Segal and Brian Shenton) he was fifth.
In 1957, Box became the British Champion over 100 yards.
