Kenneth "Ken" Comninos Michael AC (born April 12, 1938 in Perth , Western Australia ) is an Australian civil servant and from 2006 to 2011 Governor of Western Australia .

biography

After attending school he studied at Imperial College London and on his return began a career in the administration of Western Australia, where he was first chairman of the East Perth Development Agency and then a member of the Agency for the Regulation of the Economy. After a subsequent activity as commissioner for the main roads of the state, he was most recently Chancellor of the University of Western Australia (UWA). In 1996 he became a member of the Order of Australia .

Michael became Governor of Western Australia on January 18, 2006 after the end of the term of John Sanderson and the provisional leadership of David Malcolm . Ken Michael also became Companion of the Order of Australia in 2006.
