Kenny Leon Veal (born May 26, 1989 in Hamilton , Ohio ) is an American arena football player. He currently plays the defensive back position for the Columbus Destroyers in the Arena Football League (AFL).

Career

Veal visited in 2008 and 2009, the University of Toledo , where he for their football team, the Toledo Rockets , College Football spielte'. In 2008 he played in all eleven games, including one from the start. He scored 24 tackles and one interception. In 2009 he also played in all eleven games, this time in four from the start, scoring 14 tackles and one interception. In 2010 he moved to Grand Valley State University , where he put in a red shirt year in the first year . After Grand Valley, he later moved to Thomas Moore College .

In 2014 Veal started playing with the newly formed Nashville Venom from the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL). With these he won the league championship in his first season. In 2015 he also played for Venom. From 2015 to 2017 he spent parts of the seasons with the Cleveland Gladiators from the Arena Football League (AFL). In 2015 and 2016 he didn't play a game. He made his AFL debut on Easter 2017, when he led his team with seven tackles in the 49:52 loss of the Gladiators to the Baltimore Brigade . He scored a total of 24 tackles and three interceptions, one of which he carried back for a touchdown. He was also used as a kick returner . He finished the 2017 season with the Green Bay Blizzards from the Indoor Football League (IFL), where he played in the last six games and scored 18 tackles and one interception. In the IFL, Veal had already played at the Wichita Falls Nighthawks in 2016 , where he caught four interceptions and led his conference with his 38 tackles . In December 2017, the Jacksonville Sharks signed Veal from the National Arena League (NAL). On March 7, 2019, Veal was assigned to the re-established Columbus Destroyers from the AFL.
