Kerstin Wasems (born September 20, 1979 ) is a former German soccer player and soccer coach .

Career

The goalkeeper began her career at FC Dollendorf-Ripsdorf , a club in the Euskirchen district . She later moved to Grün-Weiß Brauweiler in Pulheim and to FSV Frankfurt . For the 1999/00 season she went to FCR Duisburg , with whom she was German champion and indoor cup winner in 2000. For professional reasons, she dissolved her contract after the 2002/03 season and joined the association league club FC Mausauel-Nideggen in the Düren district . Two years later returned to SC 07 Bad Neuenahr and completed two seasons in the Bundesliga, in which she played 16 and 14 point games. After the 2006/07 season , she ended her career and coached the second team, which was relegated to the Regionalliga Südwest in 2007 . On December 4, 2007, she resigned for personal reasons.

National team

She played her only international match for the senior national team when she came on for Silke Rottenberg in the second half in the 4-1 win over New Zealand on May 26, 1998 in Spremberg .
