Kevin Chesham

Kevin Chesham (born August 13, 1987 in Bern ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( drums ).

Live and act

Chesham, who wanted to play drums as a small child, received an education from the age of eleven. In 1999 he joined Wiuds Höi , a Zealand entertainment big band. In 2003 he switched to the Swiss Jazz School . From 2005, during his studies with Billy Brooks and Dejan Terzic at the jazz department of the Bern University of the Arts (2008 Bachelor, later Master), he accompanied musicians such as Tom Harrell , Sandy Patton , Bert Joris and Alexander von Schlippenbach .

Christoph Stiefel brought him into his Inner Language Trio , with whom he recorded the album Big Ship ; he was also on the road with Stiefel's septet ( rhythm-a-tized ). He is also active in the groups of Thierry Lang , Florian Favre , Heiri Känzig ( Paris - Buenos Aires ) and the Generations Quartet of Eric Alexander and Stewy von Wattenwyl , and plays with AEIOU Elektropop and Death By Chocolate . He can also be heard on albums by Ueli Kempter, Phanamanation, Rolf Häsler, Urs Bollhalder and Fere Scheidegger.
