Khalid Boutaïb ( Arabic خالد بوطيب, DMG Ḫālid Būṭayyib ; Born April 24, 1987 in Bagnols-sur-Cèze ) is a French - Moroccan football player .
Career
society
Boutaïb started his career in 2006 at FC Bagnols Pont and was signed by ES Uzès Pont du Gard in 2007 . After a year-long return to FC Bagnols Pont, he was signed again in 2011 by ES Uzès. In 2012 he was hired by FC Istres , but was loaned back to Uzès.
This was followed by positions at Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées , Gazélec FC Ajaccio and Racing Strasbourg . At Racing he experienced the most successful time of his career to date. So he finished the "Ligue 2" season 2016/17 as a champion with this club and rose with him to Ligue 1 . Boutaïb contributed 20 league goals to this success, making him the most successful goalscorer of his team and second in the scorers list of this second division season.
For the 2017/18 season, Boutaïb from the Turkish Süper Lig was signed by the newly promoted Yeni Malatyaspor . In the winter transfer period he was given to al Zamalek SC .
National team
Boutaïb made his debut for the Moroccan national team in a 1-0 win over Cape Verde on March 26, 2016 . With Morocco he took part in the Africa Cup of 2017 , came to a brief assignment against Ivory Coast and failed in the quarter-finals to Egypt . He scored his first international goal in the 6-0 win against Mali on September 1, 2017. He was also in Morocco's squad for the 2018 World Cup . After two 1-0 defeats against Portugal and Iran and a 2-2 draw against Spain , Morocco was the last in Group B to be eliminated from the tournament. Boutaïb played against Portugal and Spain and scored the interim 1-0 lead against Spain.
