Khandbari (also written Khadbari ) is a mountain town above the Arun and the administrative seat in the district of Sankhuwasabha in Province No. 1 in eastern Nepal .
Khadbari is the starting point for hikers and mountaineers in the Makalu area . Tumlingtar airfield is located approx. 10 km south of the city. The urban area covers 91.03 km².

At the 2011 census, the city of Khandbari had 26,301 inhabitants (12,480 of them male) in 6,290 households.
