Khangshar ( Nepali खाङसार or Khangsar ) is a village and Village Development Committee in north-central Nepal in the Manang District . It is located at an altitude of 3734  m in the Manang Valley in the north of the Annapurna Himal between Manang and Lake Tilicho .

The unplastered houses are built in the Tibetan style with flat roofs, as there is hardly any rain due to the location in the rain shadow of the high mountains of the Annapurna massif . You almost always have the stables on the ground floor, and the living rooms above are accessible via a steep tree stake into which stairs have been driven. The harvest is dried on the roofs and firewood or hay is stored.

The inhabitants of Khangshar live mainly from agriculture . Some fields are on the slopes in the river valley; larger fields and meadows lie above the village, where more sunshine falls. The conditions for agriculture are not optimal. The villagers also keep yaks , which are brought to the high pastures in summer.

As with most high villages in Nepal, many families move to the warmer Kathmandu or Pokhara in November . They return from the end of January to March.

In 2001 the population was 557. At the 2011 census, Khangshar had 257 inhabitants (138 of them male) in 58 households.
