Kilian Ludewig (born March 5, 2000 ) is a German soccer player . He is on loan from FC Red Bull Salzburg to FC Barnsley and is a young German national player.
Career
society
Ludewig joined the youth team at RB Leipzig in 2015 from FC St. Pauli . In November 2015 he made his debut for the A-Juniors from Leipzig in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Przemysław Płacheta on matchday ten of the 2015/16 season against Hamburger SV . In December 2015 he made his first appearance for the U-17 team from Leipzig in the B-Junior Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg . In August 2016 he scored his first three goals in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga in an 8-0 win against Niendorfer TSV .
After he had already played a game for the A-Juniors in the 2015/16 season, Ludewig moved into the squad for the 2017/18 season. He scored his first goal in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga in August 2017 in a 2-0 win against Hertha BSC . Between September and December 2017, he also played three games for RB Leipzig in the UEFA Youth League .
For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg , with whom he received a contract that ran until May 2022. First, however, he played for the farm team FC Liefering in the 2nd league , for which he played for the first time in September 2018 against FC Juniors OÖ .
After he had only been used for Liefering in Salzburg for a year and a half, he was awarded to the second division club FC Barnsley in England in January 2020 . After playing 18 games in the EFL Championship for Barnsley and being able to stay in the league, the loan was extended for another season in August 2020.
National team
Ludewig played against Austria for the first time for the German U16 team in October 2015 . In the game that Germany won 4-2, he also scored a goal. He made his first appearance for the U17 team against the Netherlands in September 2016 . In November 2016, he scored his first goal for them in a 7-2 win over Iceland .
With the German U17 team, he took part in the European Championship in 2017 , where they reached the semi-finals. Ludewig was used in all five of the Germans' games.
Between December 2017 and May 2018, Ludewig played four games in the U18 team . On March 20, 2019, he made his debut in a 2-1 home win against Croatia in the U19 team and in September against the Czech Republic for the U20s .
