Kim Christensen (born July 16, 1979 in Hvidovre ) is a Danish football player . The goalkeeper , who made an unofficial international appearance in 2009 , has played his career in Denmark and Sweden so far, where he won the national cup with IFK Göteborg in 2008 .
Career
Christensen started playing football at Rosenhøj BK . For the amateur club he made his debut in 1997 in the men's team. In 2002 he moved to the second-class 1st division at Hvidovre IF . After he was relegated with the club, he moved on to league rivals Nykøbing FA . He stayed there again a game time to the first division 2004/05 season the FC Nordsjælland to join. Here he established himself as a regular player and missed almost no game for the club.
In March 2008 Christensen left Denmark and joined the Swedish club IFK Göteborg . There he replaced Bengt Andersson , who had announced his retirement, and signed a three-year contract. In the Allsvenskan season in 2008 , he never missed a minute of play as a regular goalkeeper and moved into the cup final with the team. They prevailed on penalties against champions Kalmar FF , who had been crowned a week earlier , after Christensen and his opponent Petter Wastå had missed 120 minutes of play. Christensen played his only international match for the Danish national team in a friendly against Senegal in May 2010.
During a game against Örebro SK on September 23, 2009 , it was discovered on video that Christensen had moved both goal posts inwards with his foot to make the goal smaller. Referee Stefan Johannesson was only made aware of this after 20 minutes of play and corrected the structure of the goal. After the game, Christensen said in an interview that he had made the goal smaller in this way a few times in the past and that this trick might be the reason he was such a good goalkeeper.
In the summer of 2010 Christensen moved to the Danish champions FC Copenhagen and won the championship and the cup twice.
Since December 4, 2014, he has been in the squad without a competitive game and goalkeeper number 3.
