Kim Min-jae ( kor. 김민재 ; born November 15, 1996 in Tongyeong ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Kim Min-jae learned to play soccer on the school team at Suwon Technical High School and on the university team at Yonsei University . He signed his first contract with Gyeongju KHNP in 2016 . The club from Gyeongju , a city in southeast South Korea , played in the country's third highest league, the Korea National League . For the club he completed 17 third division games. In 2017 he moved to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors . With the club from Jeonju he played in the first division, the K League 1 . In 2017 and 2018 he won the South Korean soccer championship with Jeonbuk. For Jeonbuk he played 52 first division games and scored three goals. In 2019 he moved to China . Here he signed a contract with Beijing Guoan . With the club from Beijing he played in the first division, the Chinese Super League . In 2019 Beijing Guoan was runner-up behind the title holder Guangzhou Evergrande . So far, he has been on the field 26 times for Guoan.

National team

Kim Min-jae played twice for the South Korean U20 national team in 2014 . From 2016 to 2018 he played eight times for the U23 national team . In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Indonesia with the U23 . Here he won the gold medal with the team. In the final, they defeated Japan 2-1. Kim Min-jae has played in the senior team of South Korea since 2017 . He made his international debut on August 31, 2017 in a World Cup qualifier against Iran at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seoul .
