Kim Sohyi (born February 14, 1965 in Busan , South Korea ) is a cook and author of cookbooks living in Austria .
Life
She completed her cooking training with her Japanese-Korean mother, who owns a gourmet restaurant in South Korea. At the age of 19 Kim came to Vienna . After completing an apprenticeship in fashion design at the Herbststrasse school center for fashion and art in Vienna's 16th district and having spent a few years in this profession, she opened a sushi bar in Vienna and in 2001 cooked her own restaurant Kim , which was awarded two toques in 2008 Gault-Millau was awarded. Besides her work as a cook Kim writes cookbooks ( Kim cooks ), offers cooking classes and took effect in May 2008 in the VOX telecast The Koch Arena on; She also cooked for Johannes B. On November 1, 2014, the restaurant on Vienna's Naschmarkt , which Kim Sohyi had run since autumn 2010, was closed due to a burst water pipe. In the course of this, Kim Sohyi moved to her second restaurant on Hohe Markt.
