action

The young police student Peping lives in the Philippine capital Manila with his fiancée Cecille and their just born child. The first 30 minutes of the film's plot is characterized in detail by Peping. His way to court, the marriage ceremony there and a small wedding celebration afterwards are shown. The director describes life in the slums of the big city in a documentary style. Above all, scenes of animal slaughter and transactions are shown here, which are recurring motifs in the film.

Financial worries plague Peping with the cost of her wedding, college, and family. That's why he collects protection money for police officers in the evenings. Through this contact he gets a bigger order. Without knowing more about the project or the destination, he gets into the minibus of the gang of policemen on his wedding night. On the way, the gang kidnaps the prostitute Madonna. This is followed by very long sequences of driving a car to convey Peping's uncertainty and ignorance of his situation.

Peping had a very good escape route that he didn't use. He was also given a pistol with which Madonna could possibly have saved. Instead, he helps carry out the deed against his will. Peping witnesses the gang raping, torturing, killing and then dismembering Madonna. On the way back, the gang scattered the different body parts in different places.

When they arrive back in Manila the next morning, Peping receives the promised money and drives home.
