The Evangelical Lutheran Church Hermannsfeld is located in the street in Mitteldorf 42 von Hermannsfeld , a district of the municipality Rhönblick vor der Rhön in the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen in Thuringia . The parish of Hermannsfeld with its four parish villages Hermannsfeld, Henneberg, Stedtlingen and Sülzfeld belongs to the parish Hermannsfeld in the parish of Meiningen of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The church tower is still medieval . The octagonal attachment for the belfry and the curved dome were built later. The rectangular nave , which is covered with a mansard roof, was given its present shape in 1758 and 1782.

The hall church has a choir tower , a late Gothic choir and a sacristy in the northeast corner. The choir is spanned with a late Gothic star vault from the end of the 16th century. The church furnishings are uniform from the 18th century. The organ was built in 1850 by Johann Georg Markert II .
