Kirchenreinbach is a Bavarian church village in the eastern part of the Hersbrucker Alb .

geography

The village is one of 14 districts of the Etzelwang municipality in the western part of the Upper Palatinate . It is located about two kilometers north-northeast of the center of Etzelwang and is at an altitude of 434  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Kirchenreinbach became an independent rural community with the second municipal edict in 1818. This was later attached to the former wasteland of Rupprechtstein , which had initially belonged to the Etzelwang rural community and after its dissolution became part of the Schmidtstadt rural community that was newly created in 1820/21 . In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the entire municipality of Kirchenreinbach was incorporated into the municipality of Neidstein in 1978, which in 1983 was renamed the municipality of Etzelwang according to the largest district. In 2017 Kirchenreinbach had 226 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is made by a municipal road that branches off about half a kilometer west of Kirchenreinbach from the AS 39 district road and, after passing through the village, continues in a north-easterly direction to Holnstein , where it joins the state road St 2164 .
