The Kirschengraben is a creek almost two kilometers long in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart , which, coming from the north-west, flows into the Altfelder Graben from the left .

course

The Kirschengraben rises in the sandstone Spessart in the natural area 141.2 Oberwittbacher Spessartvorland in the area of the boundary of the Marktheidenfeld district Altfeld at an altitude of about 334  m above sea level. NHN of a source that only carries water intermittently . The spring is located about 400 m northwest of Altfeld on the edge of the Eichholz forest between the Geschworen Höhe in the west and the Geiersberg in the east.

The heavily straightened stream flows southeast almost to the end, initially parallel to the Roman road on the edge of the forest through a green zone and then through a sports area, after which it reaches Altfeld and from there to almost the confluence on the edge of the soft patch to the adjacent fields in the northeast pulls along. After crossing Gartenstrasse , he feeds a small pond. It crosses March Street and then runs partly underground, now with individual houses also on the left bank, along the southeast corner of the village. The stream flows under the B 8 and is now accompanied by wood to the south of the Seilershöhe ; to the right of this gallery there are now meadow plots of the houses, which are now moving further back. The stream bends slightly to the south-southeast on this section.

Soon afterwards, for its last less than a hundred meters, it plunges into a wooded blade incision only slightly above . It finally flows into it southwest of Altfeld at an altitude of about 249  m above sea level. NN from the left into the Altfelder Graben flowing from the west, which like himself can fall dry over its entire length in front of its underflow blade .
