The steam locomotive series kkStB 159 was a series of freight trains with a tender of the kkStB , which originally came from the KFNB .
The machines in the KFNB Ve series were intended to be used to guide fast express freight trains . The Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik delivered 14 pieces of these type C locomotives in 1890 and 1891. There were 4 pieces (515-518) twin engines, the remaining compound engines. Since the twin design did not prove itself, they were soon replaced by machines from the KFNB VIII series . The twin locomotives were then used in Mährisch Ostrau in the shunting and delivery service to the coal mines.
At the kkStB, the KFNB Ve formed the series 159 , with the twin machines given the numbers 159.01-04 and the compound machines given the numbers 159.11-20 .
After the First World War , the entire series 159 came to ČSD as series 334.0 . The ČSD decommissioned the locomotives until 1962 .
