Klara's case also , the trail leads into the void ( Rånarna ) is a Swedish thriller by Peter Lindmark from the year of 2003.
action
The 33-year-old ambitious introverted Klara Arvidsson works as a detective in the Swedish police force . A very well and professionally organized band of robbers attacked a Stockholm bank in a paramilitary style and then disappeared without a trace with their loot of millions.
Klara receives the order together with her colleague Greger Krona to investigate this brutal gang. Since two former colleagues soon appear suspicious, Klara and Greger carry out the investigation almost on their own. The six-year-old son of the bank director was apparently kidnapped, which is why he is apparently working with the kidnappers.
In this context, Klara feels reminded of the loss of her own daughter two years ago and therefore wants to save the child at all costs. The inspector is supposedly supported by her friend Frank. After one of the kidnappers (a certain Jarkko) is arrested, it turns out that Klara's friend is one of the kidnappers.
The arrested man is taken to hospital after suffering a medical breakdown. Klara rides in the ambulance when a dark Mercedes limousine slows down the ambulance and the kidnappers want to free their accomplice with bloodshed. The liberation fails because Klara shoots Jarkko.
Klara is then rescued by her colleague and when she sits down in a park, she remembers a ship that was on a transaction. She drives there, frees the boy and Frank discovers her, but does not sound the alarm. He helps her, kills an accomplice and is shot by another accomplice, but can kill him before this one would have killed Klara. It remains to be seen whether Frank survived as there is no trace of him.
Reviews
"Once again the Swedes turn out to be docile students of Hollywood and serve a polished action thriller, which is not inferior to its higher-budgeted role models from the dream factory (" Heat "says hello) in effort and intensity."
"Cop thriller based on American models, which wins you over with its believable characters."
