Classic rock night

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The classical rock nights were concert events by the Munich musician, conductor and composer Eberhard Schoener , which took place five times between 1980 and 1985 in cooperation with the Bavarian radio . The concerts, lasting up to six hours, were broadcast live on television, mostly throughout Europe as part of the Eurovision .

The originally classically trained Schoener, according to his own admission, has always been interested in "seeing music as a total work of art and not as parts of limited possibilities". As early as the 1960s, he tried to break the conventional boundaries between serious and popular music in his series "Klassik ohne Frack" - this idea eventually led to the classic rock night.
