Klaudiusz Angermann

Klaudiusz Angermann (born July 7, 1861 in Lemberg , Galicia , † November 11, 1922 in Nowy Sącz ) was a Polish politician, oil industrialist and member of the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Angermann was born as the son of the tax inspector Karol Angermann and attended grammar school in Przemyśl . After graduating from high school, he continued his education at the Technical University of Lemberg and between 1880 and 1883 at the Technical University of Vienna . Angermann worked from 1885 in the construction service of the Galician State Railways and in 1890 rose to the position of engineer adjunct at the railway maintenance section in Jasło . He became a city engineer in Jasło in 1895 and worked from 1902 in the exploration of oil deposits. Angermann was also active internationally, including in the Caucasus and Romania . He has written articles in specialist journals and a treatise on "General Naphta Geology".

Most recently, Angermann worked as an oil industrialist in Boguchwała , where he was also a co-owner of oil pits in the Drohobycz, Krosno and Sanok districts. He also worked as a board member of the Naphtha Industry Corporation in Lviv and was a member of the boards and supervisory boards of various other Galician industrial and financial companies.

Angermann, who was also active as a member of the committee of the Federation of Employers in the peroleum industry in Lemberg, ran for the Reichsrat election in 1911 in the electoral district of Galicia 46 and was subsequently a member of the Austrian House of Representatives from July 17, 1911 to November 12, 1918. He belonged to the Polish Club and was a member of the Polish People's Party, (from 1913 Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe Piast ).

Angermann was Roman Catholic. Denomination and married Maria Turczynowicz-Suszycka in 1904. He became the father of at least one son.
