Klaus Adomeit

Klaus Adomeit (* 1. January 1935 in Memel , † 4. February 2019 ) was a German jurist , who as 1975-2000 Professor Theory of Law , Civil Law , legal computer science and labor law at the Free University of Berlin taught.

Life

After graduating from high school in Bremerhaven in 1954 , he studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . From 1958 to 1960 he worked as a research assistant for Wolfgang Siebert at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1960 he was with the dissertation The regulation agreement than the allowable next to the operating agreement exercise form of participation in social matters (§ 56 WCA, § 67 PersVG) for Dr. jur. PhD. He passed the second state examination in law and became a research assistant with Hans Carl Nipperdey, first in Kassel and later at the University of Cologne . In 1969 he completed his habilitation with the work supervised by Wolfgang Zöllner legal source issues in labor law .

In 1975 Adomeit became professor for legal theory and labor law at the Free University of Berlin. From 1984 he was President of the German-Spanish Lawyers Association. In 1990 he was briefly head of the justice department of the Frankfurt (Oder) district administration. In 1996 he became dean of the Faculty of Law at the Free University of Berlin. Since 2000 he was retired. In 2003 he became a permanent visiting professor at the Law Faculty of Granada . He is u. a. Co-author of a legal commentary on the General Equal Treatment Act and the standard work on labor law (14th edition). He also published under the pen name Civis Romanus .
