Klaus "Butzi" Auhuber (born October 28, 1951 in Landshut ) is a former German ice hockey player and a member of the Hall of Fame for Germany .

Career

Coming from the offspring of EV Landshut , he played in the 1st team of the EVL in the ice hockey Bundesliga and was German champion in 1983 . For the 1984/85 season he moved from Landshut to the ECD Iserlohn . From 1985 to 1988 he played again at EV Landshut and then initially ended his active playing career. In the 1988/89 season he played in the Oberliga Nord for 1. EHC Hamburg , for which he stepped in again for a few games in the 2. Liga Nord at the end of 1989 . You can still see him on the ice at games of the traditional EV Landshut Oldies team.

In the national team he came to appearances at the Winter Olympics in 1976 , where he helped to win the bronze medal, and in 1980 and the ice hockey world championships in 1977 , 1978 and 1979 .

He and the German national ice hockey team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for his sporting achievements.
