Life

Hoffmann-Reicker learned the trade of a carpenter and made up his Abitur and study of history on the second educational path. He was then a candidate for the GDR Writers' Association until 1988, and in 1985 a new edition of his novel was published. In the year before the fall of the Wall, the Writers' Union renounced its further participation. Only after the fall of the Wall could more books and essays by him appear. His engagement in the Saxophon-Verlag was particularly fruitful. The book Unknown from Saxony was published here in 2007 , for which Hoffmann-Reicker had previously researched in numerous archives and special libraries. In 2013, the equally elaborate work The changed Canalettoblick appeared there . Dresden in the early days . In 2014 Hoffmann-Reicker published his work Kulturkuriosa: Curiosities and errors in historical sources . Also in 2014 Hoffmann-Reicker began to publish his works via Neobooks , where three historical works are now available. In September 2015, using old maps, he located the historic Dresden Rabenstein at the People's Solidarity Club Alfred-Althus-Straße . In November 2017, the author started his collaboration with the publishing house Bild und Heimat with the title Der Raub der Magdalena: and 15 other authentic criminal cases from Saxony .
