Klaus Klein (born August 27, 1950 ) is a former German soccer player who played in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich .

Career

Emerging from the youth department of FC Bayern Munich , Klein was a member of Bayern's professional squad for the 1969/70 season . He made his Bundesliga debut on his 19th birthday on August 27, 1969 (3rd matchday) in a 2-1 win at home against Eintracht Frankfurt with a substitute for Dieter Brenninger in the 84th minute. After two more league games, in which he was substituted on, he left the club at the end of the season.

From 1970/71 to 1973/74 he completed four seasons in the Regionalliga Süd for SSV Jahn Regensburg , which was relegated to the Bavarian Amateur League in 1974 as bottom of the table . For SSV Jahn Regensburg, Klein played a game for the DFB Cup outside of the league game . On July 29, 1970, he and his team lost 4-0 in the round of 16 against his former club - FC Bayern Munich - in the Olympic Stadium .

From 1974/75 to 1978/79 he played for the second division club FC Bayern Hof , for which he played 131 missions in the South season and scored seven goals. He was also used in nine games for the club cup - without a goal.
