Building of the Klaus Kroschke Holding GmbH & Co in Braunschweig

In 1957 Martin and Elfriede Kroschke opened their first auto sign shop in Braunschweig . The car signs were accepted and sold by Elfriede Kroschke from a VW Beetle near the registration office . After ordering by phone, her husband Martin made the plastic signs in the 20 square meter basement of their house . Then he mounted it on the customer's car.

In 1962 the couple opened their first shop . In 1969 the son Klaus Kroschke joined his parents' company, which in 1971 moved to its third location on Kroschkestrasse . In 1974 his brother Christoph followed him.

Klaus Kroschke specialized in the expansion of activities in the business fields of traffic and work safety signs, advertising screen printing as well as engraved and embossed signs. Christoph Kroschke expanded the branch business and opened branches in Essen , Stuttgart and Dortmund . In 1987, 100 branches were coordinated from Braunschweig.

In 1991 the Kroschke sign-international GmbH was founded and in 1992 it was divided into the two business areas of car signs and work safety signs.

In 1993, Klaus and Christoph Kroschke founded the Kroschke Foundation for Children , which supports pilot projects for children with heart disease, blind and visually impaired children and their families.

In 1994 the brothers decided to split up the group of companies. The companies led by Christoph Kroschke moved to Ahrensburg in Schleswig-Holstein in 1995 under the umbrella of Christoph Kroschke Holding GmbH & Co. KG . Kroschke sign-international GmbH

Kroschke sign-international GmbH, based in Braunschweig, is a full-range provider in the areas of labeling, operational safety and personal safety / personal protective equipment (PPE). PPE products are also sold under the “Work” brand. In 1987 the Austrian company Austroschrift was taken over by the Kroschke Group at its Vienna location. In 1995 the company moved to Klosterneuburg near Vienna . American Permalight Inc.

American Permalight Inc. was founded in 1988 and is a 100% subsidiary of Klaus Kroschke Holding. Its headquarters are in Los Angeles . It was taken over together with Permalight Germany in 2002. While Permalight is run as a Kroschke brand in Germany, an independent company remained in the USA.

Permalight produces and sells photoluminescent security products based on strontium aluminate and strontium silicate luminous pigments worldwide, with a focus on Canada, the USA and Latin America. Permalight products were installed in the World Trade Center, which was destroyed in 2001, and are used in the international space station ISS .

Kroschke Children's Foundation
