Klaus W. Müller

Klaus W. Müller (born April 21, 1945 in Mühlhausen an der Enz ) is a German evangelical theologian and missiologist .

Live and act

After completing primary school in Mühlhausen / Enz, Müller initially trained as an art carpenter . He practiced this profession until 1963, then obtained his secondary school leaving certificate at the Technical High School in Pforzheim and studied from 1964 to 1969 at the mission seminar of the Liebenzeller Mission . In 1985 he received his MA in Missiology at Fuller Theological Seminary , 1993, he was at the University of Aberdeen with a thesis on Georg Friedrich Vicedom for Ph.D. PhD. From 1970 to 1981 Müller was a missionary in Micronesia . In 1982 he founded the research center for German-speaking, evangelical missions . His main area of ​​research is the contextualization of the Christian faith in non-European countries. From 1981 to 1998 he lectured at the seminar for missionary training at the Free University for Mission in Korntal and from 1994 to 1998 was also professor for mission at the German branch of Columbia International University . Afterwards Müller taught at the Free Theological University Gießen (FTH) and at the state- independent Theological University Basel . He also works on the doctoral program of the Belgian Evangelical Theological Faculty in Leuven . He was chairman of the Working Group for Evangelical Missiology (AfeM) and editor of the journal Evangelical Missiology .

Private

Müller married Ulrike Düffert on Oneop in 1971. The couple has three children and lives in Biebertal .
