Klaus from the Order

Klaus vom Orde (born December 24, 1956 in Lauterbach (Hesse) ) is a German theologian and church historian .

Life

After studying Protestant theology and philosophy in Marburg and Gießen , which he completed with a doctorate in church history at the Philipps University of Marburg , he was a lecturer at the Marburg Education and Study Center (MBS) and at the Tabor Protestant University . From 2001 to 2006 he was director of the Gnadau Theological Seminary in Falkenberg . He worked on the edition of Gerhard Tersteegen's letters , which was published in 2008 by Gustav Adolf Benrath. As a research assistant, he worked in the Spener department at the Ruhr University in Bochum and at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which was headed by Johannes Wallmann . When Spener moved to the Francke Foundations in Halle (Saale) in 2011 , he became a research associate and head of the project "Edition of Philipp Jakob Spener's Letters of the Saxon Academy of Sciences in Leipzig ", which is headed by Udo Sträter .
