Klein Wootz is a residential area of the Lenzerwische community of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is one kilometer southwest of Wootz , the seat of the municipality of Lenzerwische and nine kilometers southwest of Lenzen (Elbe) , the seat of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office. The location is in the district of Wootz.

Neighboring towns are Wootz, Mödlich and Vietze in the northeast, Meetschow in the southeast, Gorleben in the south, Pölitz in the west, and Laase , Kietz and Rosendorf in the northwest.

history

Around 1800 the place belonged to the Lenzen district in the province of Prignitz ; part of the Kurmark of the Mark Brandenburg . In a description of this landscape from 1804, the 2½ Hufen village "Klein Wutz" with a total of 107 inhabitants is recorded and the owner of the dike is named Jagow zu Rühstädt. In the village, which belonged to Lenzerwische and thus to Kietz at that time , there were one full-time and four half-farmer, seven residents and eight Büdner active. In addition, there were nine fireplaces here, the residents of the Kiez parish in the Lenzen inspection and the address was also Lenzen.

On April 1, 1939, Klein Wootz was incorporated into Wootz. Since October 26, 2003, Klein Wootz has been part of the Lenzerwische community.
