action

Vajolet Towers

As early as 1887, the northernmost mountain of the Vajolet Towers was first climbed by Georg Winkler from Munich . Since then, the mountain has been called the "Winkler Tower" in his memory. Even today, the Vajolet towers are considered a classic test for climbers, even if the route to the foot of the towers can be covered with the Val Gardena Railway , and thus more comfortably than in Winkler's time.

On a Saturday two mountaineers also arrive at the foot of the mountains. They took one of the younger sisters to take care of the tent and the food. While the two men set off for the mountain the next day, climb it and return to the tent in the evening, the girl spends her day enjoying the sun and peace on the mountain, swimming in a mountain lake and cooking food. Only in the evening do all three meet again, pack their things and go home.

production

A little climbing trip was made at the Winkler Tower and around the Vajolet Towers in South Tyrol . The film does not contain any dialogues. The action is presented by a speaker. The focus is on acting responsibly on the mountain, the necessary camaraderie, but also having fun climbing once you have gained experience. Walter Pause wrote the text .

The FSK exam took place on May 6, 1952. The short film was released in 1992 as VHS in the series Luis Trenker's famous short films and in 2004 on DVD together with the feature film Duell in der Berge .
