Kleineberharts is located on the western shore of the Thaya. The village consists of a row of streets running along the Thaya, built on both sides, which has a right-angled curve at both ends on which other buildings are lined up.

The village is home to the "Dorfschule Montessorihaus" private school, which is run according to the principles of Maria Montessori. The school with permanent public rights is for children from the 1st to the 12th grade, the children's house is for children from 3 to 6 years.

The association Spielraum, which offers training in adult education in the field of Montessori education, is located in the village.

Vestenötting is located on the opposite bank of the Thaya.
