Hollenbach is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Waidhofen an der Thaya in the northern Waldviertel in Lower Austria .

The distance to Waidhofen is less than five kilometers by road along the L59 to Karlstein and Raabs.

freetime and sports
A recreational sports facility for members is operated by the Hollenbach Hobby Sports Club. This includes a beach volleyball facility, a swimming pond, a zip line , a climbing wall and a football pitch.
The beach volleyball facility is one of the first floodlit facilities in the Waldviertel. When it was built, the climbing wall was the largest outdoor climbing wall in Lower Austria at 15 meters.
The town also gained further fame in the 1980s to the mid-2000s through the Hollenbach section of the Semperit Rally. A special feature was the large share of gravel and the partial execution as a circuit.
