The Klingenbach is an approximately one and a half kilometers long left and southwest tributary of the upper Jagst over a left Mühlkanal next to the river. It flows into the hamlet of Steinbach an der Jagst in the Frankenhardt community in the Schwäbisch Hall district in northeastern Baden-Württemberg .

course

The Klingenbach arises on the edge of a small hollow forest between the Frankenhardter Gewannen Mühlklingle in the west and Rohnbühl in the east at about 435  m above sea level. NHN . It flows in a steadily widening valley basin to the northeast in the direction of Steinbach , where it rises after about 1.6 km after passing a new development area on its left valley slope and crossing under the Jagst Valley Railway at about 407  m above sea level. NHN flows from the left into the local Mühlkanal of the Jagst.

Catchment area

The catchment area of ​​the Klingenbach, about 0.8 km², has the contour of a tube that is only half a kilometer wide around the stream. It borders in the northwest and finally in the north on that of the next Jagst tributary Steinbach . In the east, the stream is separated by a low range of hills, which flow down just a few short sloping gullies of the Jagst, from the Jagsttal, in the south a slightly higher one, on which the 463.1  m above sea level. NHN highest point is reached before the Goldbach , a Jagst tributary further up.

The course of the stream and its catchment area lie on the Honhardt district of Frankenhardt. In terms of nature , it belongs to the sub-area of ​​the Burgberg Vorhöhen and Speltach Bay of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains .
