Klio Karadim (born April 14, 1970 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian painter and graphic artist. After the reunification she moved to Germany, since 2001 she has lived and worked in Berlin .

Education

Klio Karadim was a student at the School of Art in Sofia from 1984 to 1989. After graduating with a diploma, she initially worked as a freelance painter and jewelry designer in Bulgaria. This was followed in 1991 by studying at the " Burg Giebichenstein " University of Art and Design in Halle an der Saale.

In 1996 Karadim was awarded the DAAD Prize for Outstanding Achievements by Foreign Students. She completed her master's degree with Ulrich Reimkasten. After receiving a scholarship at the Max Klinger Academy in Naumburg and a guest semester at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , a two-month study visit to Mexico followed .
