The Kolbeterberggraben is a brook in the 14th district of Penzing in Vienna . It is a left tributary of the Mauerbach .
course
The Kolbeterberggraben has a length of 1200 m with a height difference of 49 m. Its catchment area is 0.9 km².
The stream runs north-south through the Hadersdorf district . It rises on the southern slope of the Kolbeterberg and flows into the Mauerbach in the retention basin behind Anzengruberstraße on the left.
There is no risk of flooding at the Kolbeterberggraben. In the event of a flood of the century , neither the infrastructure nor the resident population are affected.
ecology
The salt marsh in the headwaters of the Kolbeterberggraben is a natural monument that is characterized by the combination of certain plant species. On the one hand it is a predominantly wet moor grass - fallow , on the Fragrant leek ( Allium suaveolens ), Siberian iris ( Iris sibirica ), Iris graminea ( Iris graminea ) and Hungarian flat pea ( Lathyrus pannonicus subsp. Pannonicus thrive). On the other hand, there are also dry meadows with great biodiversity.

The Kolbeterberggraben is crossed by the following bridges, lined up in the direction of flow:
- Cottagebrücke: The 5 m long and 5 m wide reinforced concrete road bridge on Cottagestraße was built in 1962.
- Anzengruber Bridge: The 9 m long and 13 m wide reinforced concrete road bridge on Anzengruberstraße was built in 1968.
