Koldo Fernández
Koldo Fernández de Larrea (born September 13, 1981 in Vitoria ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Career
Koldo Fernández was the Spanish champion in the juniors age group in 1999. In 2004 he got his first professional contract with the Basque cycling team Euskaltel-Euskadi and took part in the UCI ProTour with this team from 2005 to 2011 . For this team he won a stage at Tirreno-Adriatico in 2007 and thus his only career success in the ProTour. In the following years he won twice the Tour de Vendée and once the Circuito de Getxo and various sections of smaller stage races . From 2012 to the end of his career in 2014, he drove for the US team Garmin-Sharp , but could not achieve any further international successes.
