Colony Lalchow is a district of the municipality of Barkhagen in the east of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

The place is east of Barkow on the B 191 .

The Daschower See and the Penzliner See are to the northwest, the Poseriner See and the Damerower See to the north, the Plauer See to the east and the Kritzower See to the southwest.

The Müritz-Elde waterway runs north .

history

In 1950 the (today's) districts of Barkow, Altenlinden and Lalchow colony merged to form what was then the municipality of Barkow; on June 13, 2004 the two communities Barkow and Plauerhagen merged to form today's Barkhagen community.
