Barkow is a district of the municipality of Barkhagen in the east of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The Müritz-Elde waterway and the B 191 run through Barkow .

history

Barkow was first mentioned on April 13, 1274. On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Altenlinden was incorporated. On June 13, 2004, the two communities Barkow and Plauerhagen merged to form today's Barkhagen community.
