The Commander of the North Jutland Naval Defense , or Maritime Commander North Jutland , was a regional coastal commander in the German Navy during World War II , who was subordinate to the commanding Admiral Skagerrak . The office emerged in April 1944 from the previous section of North Jutland . Her area of ​​responsibility extended on the North Sea from Ringköbingfjord to Skagen and from there in Skagerrak south to Randers Fjord . The staff was in Frederikshavn .

The North Jutland section was the forerunner of the North Jutland Maritime Command. It was erected after the occupation of Denmark in April 1940. The following associations and departments were subordinate to the commander in the section:

The port protection flotillas were disbanded in October 1943 and some of the boats were handed over to the 17th outpost flotilla (Finnish bosom).

The naval artillery positions and the naval anti-aircraft gun assigned to them were part of the Atlantic Wall , with the Hansted / Hanstholm fortress with its long-range guns playing a special role in controlling the western access to the Skagerrak.
