Together with his brother Bernhard he traveled in 1492 on behalf of the prince-bishop with an embassy to Henry VII , King of England, to bring him relics of the Eichstatt diocesan saints. From 1502 he was canon and from 1517 Dom-Cellerar in Augsburg . He frequented the Sodalitas Litteraria Augustana circle and was in correspondence with Johannes Reuchlin and Georg Spalatin . Together with Matthäus von Pappenheim he was also in contact with Johannes Aventinus . At the beginning he professed himself to the teachings of Martin Luther , but from 1520 on he remained true to traditional church theory. After 1537, following the introduction of the Reformation , he had to move out of Augsburg with the entire clergy and go to Dillingen, where he died in 1547.
