Konrad Fischer (fisherman)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konrad "Conny" Fischer (* 1948 ) is a German fishing master . He is the founder and chairman of the Maritime Union of Germany and was its top candidate in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 .

Life

Konrad Fischer has been fishing since he was 14 years old. Both his ancestors and those of his wife pursued this profession. His son Stefan also learned it, but is now employed on a research ship . Konrad Fischer runs a recognized training company for fishermen.

Fischer operates an active fishing cutter and, as a harbor bar, a historic fishing cutter from the time of the Second World War in Heikendorf . The active cutter bought his wife from the bankruptcy estate after even after a result of tax payments amounting to 143,000 euros audit insolvency had filed. Subsequently, he founded the Maritime Union Germany in order to “be able to change something about the system”. His demands in the state election campaign in 2012 were almost exclusively about improvements in the situation in the fishing industry and the shipbuilding industry. In the state election, Fischer's party received 0.1 percent of the vote.

In 2014 there was another report on Fischer. He had found a 101-year-old message in a bottle as by-catch, which was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest in the world (as of 2014). In order to be able to carry out urgent repairs on his boat, he auctioned the message in a bottle on Ebay , but broke off the auction shortly before the end of the auction with a maximum bid of 3600 euros. With the help of an unknown donor, the heirs of the original consignor managed to acquire the bottle for a four-digit euro amount for the International Maritime Museum Hamburg .

Konrad Fischer lives in Mönkeberg .
